Meeting Street, an award-winning homebuilding company, was founded by Joe Roy to bring custom attention to all aspects of a community through an innovative manufacturing process. WALKABLE
Meeting Street is responding to the needs of the growing number of Americans who prefer to live in a new type of neighborhood where the pedestrian is not an afterthought, and where interesting places within walking distance are as important as the quality of the interior finishing of the home. Building our homes or townhomes out in the middle of nowhere is not an option. Thus, the communities we build are conceived and designed in such a manner as to encourage interaction with neighbors and reduce mandatory time spent in cars by being near places of work and shopping.
Through our commitment to establish pedestrian-friendly communities, streets are often narrow (to slow traffic), and lined with shade trees to soften the density and beautify your vistas. Wide sidewalks line both sides of the street and are adorned by traditional styled lampposts.
BEAUTIFUL
Meeting Street takes pride in building on the traditions of classic homes in the finest old neighborhoods such as Charleston (home of the original Meeting Street), New Orleans, Boston, Alexandria, Georgetown and Savannah, where you will see many finely landscaped public squares - the inspiration of many of our neighborhood land plans.
The interesting streetscapes of these quaint, elegant cities with their varied old brick townhomes and diversified neighborhood centers influence our material selections and our ideas on livable porches, landscaping and authentic architectural details. The artful arrangement of our buildings and the use of a nostalgic theme add another dimension of beauty in our communities. Wherever possible, buildings are positioned to form town-style squares and open spaces, or take advantage of scenic views and vistas. To bring these visions to reality and help design and engineer a community, we use award-winning professionals including David Furman Architecture, Shook-Kelly, LandDesign, DPZ, Seamon-Whiteside, and Christopher Phelps Associates. The result is evident in the proportion, scale, rooflines and details of our homes, and in the integration of natural areas and green space for our communities.

We've built multiple homes over the years across the US and our experience working with builders ranges from absolutely horrible to outstanding. Meeting Street is in the outstanding category and not because everything was flawless. No construction project runs without some detours and roadblocks along the way. The key is effective communication, managing expectations, construction quality, timely follow-up, and trust. In these areas, Meeting Street excels. We made a good choice and are happy with the final product despite Covid, supply chain problems, and unforeseen labor issues that had to be overcome. Bravo!

Additional Comments - Overall our experience with Austyn, Denise, and John were fantastic. The home is great and they were all extremely responsive and I felt like they all genuinely cared to produce the best product they could. Our biggest issues pertain to not having the home 100% completed by closing, the poor quality in the paint, and the quality of the trim in a couple locations (that we missed in our walkthrough but that the sub cut some corners to complete on the aggressive timeline). That being said, we'd recommend Meeting Street and have already recommended Meeting Street to our friends and family.

Construction Quality - There are a few minor issues, I assume every new house has. We will be emailing our 60 day list to Meeting Street and I'm sure Carrie will be able to address/fix all the issues.

Additional Comments - We are so impressed with Carrie. Not only was Carrie knowledgeable about everything we asked regarding the house, she was genuinely helpful everytime we needed her. Carrie truly is the face of Meeting Street for us, because we moved from Wisconsin and had no interaction or knowledge of Meeting Street prior to the day I first walked through the house in early July. Carrie also worked great with our real estate agents, as they had to do the walk through for us. Carrie actually got on the phone/we FaceTimed as she and our real estate agents were in the house. I have had the most interactions with Carrie, as I was here a month before my husband. We both give Carrie 5 stars and we love our home!
