Michael Thomas Construction did an excellent job. They did better than I even expected. Their secretary would call me with the items and verify everything. They kept great communication. They sent me pictures and emails and explained everything so thoroughly. It was amazing. The final work was done on schedule if not early, and they really went the extra mile. Everything was really well done. I can't say enough about Michael Thomas Construction. I really was surprised. I wasn't able to stop by often to see the work because I'm a pilot, so they worked independently and actually did the job. It seemed like they took great pride in what they did and I am very happy with their work.

Area For Improvement - On this repair they all did a stellar job. I thought this was going to be a total nightmare based on a previous experience with my insurance company. To this day I have an unresolved issue with Allstate and I'm very disappointed with their auto insurance, but this home insurance is very nice and everything went perfectly. I was very surprised based on my previous experience with Allstate, but this all went so beautifully.

Area Of Satisfaction - I am most satisfied with their willingness to work with me. Michael Thomas Construction was especially willing to work with me. The insurance company also came out promptly and I really appreciated that. They came out the next day. The phone calls and interactions with all of the people who worked with this claim were great, and everything was explained very carefully. I was dealing with a lot of different people. There were groups packing up the house, groups that were drying the house from the water damage, and more. The many different groups were all arranged by the insurance company together in one package and they were all timed very well. First the boarding went up in the house and then the other group came in that dried out the floors and the house quickly. Michael Thomas opened the walls and replaced all the wet things that could have caused mold. They tore out as much as I hoped they would. I thought they might short cut it and later I would have mold, but they took out even more than I thought they would and inspected it all. All of the groups worked well together, and the timing was good with making sure the previous job got done before the next job was tackled. They were orderly and on time. You couldn't ask for a better program than the one they used to get that job done. The job was also done just before winter and I was thinking they wouldn't even start for a few months because with the cold and the wet it would be hard to do stuff. They started within weeks and even worked in the cold weather. I was very pleased with the schedule. My daughter and granddaughter were inconvenienced with having to find lodging and I was worried about the amount of time it would take to get done because we only had a certain amount of money for living expenses. I was dreading it not getting done before that money ran out. Michael Thomas Construction got it done on time and within the budget. You really couldn't ask for anything more.

Additional Comments - I really am proud to be able to recommend such an excellent company. Michael Thomas did everything beautifully. They asked me about things that they knew I would probably care about. They asked me what type of doors and door handles I wanted and all of those little things. They didn't just install the cheapest option or something generic. They asked me about the screen doors and the front door and sent me pictures and different options. They even told me to pick with light fixtures I wanted and said they would go and get them and install them. They put a fan in the bathroom that actually works better than I ever expected because it works based on humidity. I told them that my daughter takes long showers and I was worried about the ceiling blistering, and so they put in a fan that runs even when the light switch is off if there's humidity. They listened to those little problems, remembered them, and responded to them. The furnace guy who was associated with Michael Thomas fixed several things that needed correcting with that system and did an excellent job. There were a couple of things like that which were extra work but that I wanted done. They replaced windows, installed fire alarms, and made the porch bigger. That all costed me a little bit extra but they were very reasonable and they did great work.

I have moved since that time and am no longer there. I though he was excellent. He was outstanding.
