Legacy Restoration was a very honest company that quickly completed my project.
Process was made easy to get through insurance. The agents did the majority of the work which was great. Roof workmanship is satisfactory. Gutters/downspouts workmanship is not great.
The person who came to my home and solicited Legacy Restoration to come do work for us on our hail damage claim was very nice. He was obviously new to the job, but at the end of the day, Legacy did not fulfill what they said they would. They did the work. I called to have them come back and fix the little things that happened when they were doing the roof, but they haven't. We had some stress fractures, and I was told they would come in and fix any that we had, as well as anything that happened to the house during the installation. When the representatives came to look at all the issues that needed to be addressed, they put in a claim; however, nobody ever contacted me or took care of the issues that needed to be resolved. Prior to that, when Legacy Restoration was getting quotes from the insurance company, as far as payment, the insurance company gave money to Legacy for a gutter to be fixed. Legacy made it clear that they would only do a job if it was a complete one. They wouldn't do a partial gutter replacement. The money that went towards the gutters was supposed to come back to me. I was never given that money back, as well as some other money they told me I would be getting back for good that they did not use. I spoke with my representative about all of this, and he told me that he ended up leaving Legacy Restoration because he did not agree with their work ethic. I still have not been able to contact anyone at Legacy. I have not been given any reimbursement for the work that they did not do for goods that they did not use. I was supposed to receive about $520 back from goods not used. Nobody can give me a straight answer. Also, the project manager for the roof, never responded back to me when I inquired on when they would get back to the roof after the rain delay. The only time I heard back from him was through a text. I had a really good experience up until the end, when all this stuff was happening.

They took too long to handle the business, and it just felt like I had to sit around for a year to get the stuff done. I didn't feel like it should have taken that long. Then they didn't fix what they were supposed to fix. After waiting a year and dealing with my insurance company, that I don't have anymore, I couldn't get the claim done by someone else who could have done it. The communication was poor.

They were VERY slow to respond when the new installation leaked and called me with an accusatory tone about the damage to my ceiling. I dropped it because I was dealing with too many other things to argue my side and resented the tone of the call

I will give them a one-star rating because I waited four months for my new roof. In the meantime, that caused more damage to my home. There was a lot of pain on my end to get them to come here. While I was waiting, it rained hard in Chicago. The wait in the rain caused me more interior damage. That is my biggest complaint and concern.
