ABOUT API CONSTRUCTION Our story starts like most people that dream about having that brand new home, designed and built exactly as they picture it in all those glossy home magazines. Formally trained and mentored by one of the leading Architects in Vancouver, and prior to deciding that I could fulfill my dream of building some of those “magazine homes”, I continued my education in project management and became a member and advocate of the Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association. That training and work experience gave me the necessary tools to establish API Construction Ltd. and become one of the North Shore’s premier, award winning, custom home builders and renovators.

That was over 23 years ago and we have completed hundreds of new homes, major renovations and commercial projects for families, friends and developers. Our team of project managers, carpenters, subtrades and suppliers all have the same goal of providing you with the most comprehensive construction process of building in today's market, and we continue to improve on that process to keep the myriad of details and resources that are required in construction from falling between the cracks. This continually wanting to learn how to do things better is what generates the passion that everyone feels when they see a project move from the drafting table (remember I started before computer aided drafting was the norm), to the estimating department, to the field, to the new owners moving into their homes.

Our family has lived on the North Shore for over 30 years. This is home for us and we take pride in being able to construct homes that people exclaim, “API built that!”
