My first experience with the sales person, the installation, and the product (sliding door) was great! So I invited Champion over again and purchased another door. A VERY expensive door, which does not seem to be insulated and is very light and not sturdy. The window panels are cold in the winter and seems drafty. The installer was training a new guy who messed up my bathroom for his personal use.
Very unprofessional wend trying to address concerns of customer with no resolution to quote it is what it is from management
We are very happy with the siding project just completed on our home. The workmanship is excellent, the finished product is exactly what we anticipated it to be, and we believe the added value was worth the investment we made by selecting Champion to complete the project for us.
For replacement windows I would definitely recommend
As of right now we are missing screens, loose trim around windows and lack of caulking around windows. The job is incomplete but they continue everyday to ask for a final payment
Windows are high quality and help me save on utility bills. No more drafts in my 1919 home and it is quieter! You can’t beat the lifetime warranty. My neighbor has their windows & I saw Champion stand by their product and service their windows years after purchasing them. I highly recommend Champion.
Excellent service, installer was respectful, diligent and timely. Highly recommend!
The salesman, Camille, was so nice and worked with us to meet our budget. The wait was a bit longer than expected (ordered late November/early December) but we were okay with it given the anticipated quality of the windows and the need for the upgrade.
Once the windows were ready and we received the call to set up installation, they literally offered to install next day but I pushed it out a week since I’d need to take off work. They provided us a 2 hour delivery window of 8:00am to 10:00am…installers didn’t show up till 10:45am.
First issue..the trim color I picked didn’t match the house (my bad) and I appreciate that the installers noticed this but instead of bringing it to my attention they chose a different color which was close to our house trim color but was off enough that it was very noticeable and looked more blue than gray. I felt bad asking them to change it to white but they should have spoken to me instead of picking that on their own. I’m the one that’s gotta live with it after all.
Second issue! This was , I’m sure, considered a small job for full house replacement windows, we only have 6 windows in our home. 3 outta 6 windows were missing the decorative grid lines. The factory didn’t catch it, the warehouse didn’t catch it and the installers didn’t mention it before putting the windows in. Also 2 of the screens are damaged and have to be replaced. Now we’re looking at up to 8 weeks for replacement sashes and screens to be made, shipped and installed.
Next day after the installation I walked around to see if I missed any potential issues and now see several. The metal trim around the windows is not flush, which I understand because of siding but there are some pretty significant gaps that could allow rain water in behind the siding and under the window. All that would’ve taken the ensure a water barrier would have been to caulk underneath that trim. Also instead of moving our shutters they crammed that trim underneath them and some are now sitting warped which means the trim isn’t evenly placed around the windows.
Where was the quality inspection? There were so many opportunities for the error to be caught. It’s not like this was something not visible and easily noticeable. Seriously between the 2 screens and 3 windows that’s over a 50% failure on quality. The fact that we have to wait so long for this to be corrected is ridiculous. Yes the windows function (I think since we can’t open or close them for at least 4 days according to the installer) but aesthetically the front of my house looks stupid and will for several months. :(
Very happy with the way everything turned out
Excellent work and the process leading up to it was well managed.
Windows look great. I haven't opened and closed them yet.
Customer service is very important in any business and lack in that field. I wouldn’t recommend the headache.
Prefer your windows and doors.
Advance planning of this installation was excellent - great install team. Left site clean...
Yes. I have recommended Champion to my friends and family.
After the initial consultation and order placement,
I have used champion window in the past and was a repeat customer but after this recent experience with there entry doors I am not likely to recomend them to anyone.
This is the third time we have used Champion Windows, on three separate houses. Have been satisfied in the past.
No
I think these are the best windows out there and worth the price
Did good work and they kept the area clean
yes
The men who installed my windows were very nice and polite. After inspecting the windows four of the windows on the outside have terrible mitered corners! There's at least a 1/8" gap in one of the windows. For $14,000 ( 8 windows ) I would have expected better. What happened to Champion? Once upon a time the company was great. We have spent quite a bit of money over the years. I am ready to contact BBB.
It has been well over a month since I paid to have a glass pane replaced in my sliding door. They claim they called. My cell phone shows no calls.
We were not invited to look at the finished enclosure with the installation crew when they were leaving. All these problems could have been solved before the installation crew departed. I felt deceived.
I would say the windows look great
