Broken window pane found upon installation. Installer noted and reported to office. Followup call next day confirmed problem would be handled. Later determined replacement was not ordered for over one month. Now 10 weeks later still waiting for replacement. They don't appear to take followups seriously.
I was quoted for the windows and given a small discount for paying cash. Scheduling was easy. Our salesman stated that he would be present on installment day - he was not. Our windows were put in and 4 of the screens needed replaced due to tears. The screens were replaced within the week of calling. The goal of this consultation was to improve the efficiency of our home’s heating/cooling expenses - per our electricity company efficiency review, new windows were the key. We were told by the salesperson that the new champion windows would drastically improve the efficiency of our home and our electric bill was expected to drop up to 40%. Our electric bill did NOT decrease at all in the following months. No efficiency improvement has been reflected on our energy consumption or billing statements. Overall, we are disappointed.
No I am not.
John was so knowledgeable and explained everything so well.
would recommend champion to people in need of Windows..
Overall a great experience
Having used one of Champion's highly rated competitors a couple of years ago, I was able to compare quality, warranty and price. The quality is similar, the warranty is much better and the price is approximately 60% of what I paid for their competitors window's.
This was not a good experience, and I am left stuck with an embarrassing window as the centerpiece of the $22k project. Step 1 - Purchasing the windows was a long session with a used car salesman, complete with multiple "let me check with my manager to see if I can . . ." One condition for a reduction in price was that I had to upload before and after pictures, more on that later. Step 2 - The day after signing the contract, I decided to add one more window. The price of that single window, which was the smallest window, and identical to another window that was already contracted, suddenly cost three times as much as the rest of the windows, none of the "discounts" were available, since I had already signed on the dotted line on the main contract. Step 3 - I tried to upload the before pictures, at least five times. Each time I received a website error from Champion. I emailed twice to try to address the issue, providing the error details, but never received a response. I've now received multiple emails saying I'm still obligated to upload pictures, even though Champion won't allow it, and won't respond to emails attempting to raise the website issue. Step 4 - Multiple emails and calls to schedule install, only to have them withdrawn, because not all of the pieces had come in. I'll give the installer some credit, I ended up in the hospital on the scheduled install day, but was able to reschedule without issue. Step 5, one window arrived damaged, now I have to stay home from work at some point to have the window replaced. Step 6 - The installers and the home office all made demands for the final payment but wouldn't provide an account statement or invoice as to how they arrived at their numbers. I had to rerun multiple agreements and payments to arrive at what I believed to be the correct amount. Step 7 - One window was installed with a grid that was formed having rectangular openings that had the long axis very noticeably horizontal, different from every other window that was on the house, and different from every other window purchased from Champion. I swear the window was installed sideways, When I raised the issue with the installer, I was told that's just the way it is. When I raised it with Champion, I was told sorry, the installer just says that's the way it is. I am now stuck with the center window on the front of my house looking sideways, which has been adversely commented on by every visitor to my house. Champion's position? Tough luck. I have a bid to replace the window for $4k. Are you sure you want me to upload the after pictures? I will never recommend Champion to anyone. One or two of the above I could have overlooked, but the process was a painful and expensive process to end up with a result that looks horrible, and is going to cost me another $4k to fix. My recommendation will be to stay as far away from Champion as possible.
Very 50-50 on this. They seem like fine folks, but details were glossed over, communication was below average. Happy with some aspects, but there is a lot of room for improvement.
We are excited about our windows
We appreciate the $1000 refund, but this was more expensive than a new car. The threshold is damaged and the color was incorrect. I would not have taken possession of a new car but had no choice but to take possession of incorrect doors even with the refunded amount. It seems the company should have offered to repaint the doors as was ordered. Now the issue becomes ours. I find this totally not customer friendly. It you had agreed to repaint the doors; I would reconsider this recommendation.
Helpful and professional. Quality work.
They were quite professional. The personnel were kind and professional, and I feel they performed an excellent job.
Our project from start to finish was completed to our satisfaction. We have a whole new indoor-living space in which we feel like we our outdoors in the sunshine.
Price ended up where we were hoping, the quality of the window was good, the installation exceeded the company we used before.
Our Sunroom was completed with experienced installers. Champion's office staff was very friendly, and good to work with.
Overall great experience with champion windows
Wonderful Service
We will see what happens as they take care of some issues that I am having and then I will base my decisions on that. At this time I neither a green or disagree about recommending champion.
So I left a previous review about the sales team and our experience there which was five stars, however, I’m doing a follow up to let you know that upon installation, the wrong door was ordered, so the installation team had taken out the door to be replaced, and finding that it was the wrong door had to search and find a replacement door the same day. It was difficult for them to do that, but they found one. We realized that the door was slightly scratched, and the window was slightly scratched so we requested a new slider. Supposedly it was ordered and five weeks into it we have not heard anything so I called and they said it would be two more weeks. Three weeks went by and I got a call saying that the door had never been ordered and it would now be another 5 to 8 weeks because they were having to re- place the order . So I don’t know where the problem lies. Luckily we were not in a big rush.
Not quite the pleasant experience overall that we had when Champion built our sunroom in our last house. Everything about that was top notch. This was just so jarringly different.
Loved my install team and the finished product
I was impressed and satisfied by the whole process, from the salesman working with me and my schedule, to the installation process, and someone coming later to check on the installation process and see if I had questions or concerns.
We love our windows! The whole process was great
I highly recommend Champion. They did everything they said they would. Windows arrived 3 weeks earlier then they said. My salesman John Kucera was very knowledgeable and right on time when coming to house. Their customer service was top notch and installation was flawless
You won’t go wrong using Champion for your windows
