Tell me a little about yourself – where are you from, what brought you to Atlanta, and what brought you to GuildQuality?
I’m originally from one of the greatest cities in the U.S. – Minneapolis, MN! My parents moved to Atlanta when I was a sophomore in college and upon graduation, I figured I might as well experience this city first-hand. Five years later, I’m still here. As for how I ended up at GuildQuality, I actually met Geoff Graham a few years ago and had the opportunity to speak with him about my career interests and whatnot and learn a bit about his business, which sounded interesting. A year later, I learned GuildQuality was looking to hire a Marketing Manager, and I decided to apply.
Using only three words, describe the GuildQuality community/environment.
What’s your favorite GQ memory?
I have quite a few, but one of my most favorite memories was our last Festivus party in January 2017. The event went really smoothly, everyone seemed to be having a great time, and honestly, it was just really fun overall. I think it was the first time I really got to know some of my new coworkers!
How do you think GQ has impacted the home construction/remodeling industry?
In today’s market, consumers rely heavily on the Internet when making a purchasing decision – especially when it comes to home building and home improvement services. GuildQuality makes it easy for businesses to strengthen their online presence, and clearly communicate the quality of their service via their customer reviews and online profile, and makes it easy for homeowners to determine who they can trust to do the job right.
What was your favorite part of 2017?
I went on a two-week trip in August to Brussels, Amsterdam, and Paris that was absolutely amazing. Visiting the Louvre and seeing the Eiffel Tower were, of course, wonderful, but I have to say, Amsterdam and Brussels were far more interesting to me and far less touristy than Paris. Throughout the trip, however, the weather was almost perfect the entire time, and the food was incredible. I can’t wait to start planning my next trip!
If you could invite three people over for dinner, who would you invite and why?
Meryl Streep (she’s amazing), the Obamas (also amazing), and Betty White (I mean, why not?). That dinner would be beyond interesting, funny, and I’m sure I’d learn SO much about the world.
If you had to eat the same meal for the rest of your life – breakfast, lunch, and dinner—what would that meal be and why?
Probably some version of tacos. I absolutely love a good taco – always have, always will. Having said that, I’m equally obsessed with my family’s garlic rosemary mashed potatoes. I already have eaten them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I could probably do it every day for the rest of my life if I had to.
What is your favorite television show?
Game of Thrones. I refused to watch it until this year, and now that I’m completely obsessed, it is my mission in life to convince everyone I know to watch at least three episodes of it (they’ll be hooked by then). It’s AMAZING. Go watch it.
