Tell me a bit about Roofing by Curry. How did it come to be and how has the business changed over the years?
Roofing by Curry was founded in 1986 when my Grandfather Gary Curry moved to Florida. Originally, he worked on new construction shingle roofs only and eventually taught his son Jesse how to shingle as well. To this day, we still used this father and son business model, as Jesse Curry currently holds the position as Vice President. In 2007, Roofing by Curry started focusing on residential roof repairs and replacements on metal and tile roofs, in addition to shingle roofs. After 31 years in business, our primary focus today is to continue serving our residential clients through quality workmanship and professionalism on all kinds of roofs.
When it comes to the success of your business, what is most important to you and why?
Supplying a quality service while building a successful team of people is the most rewarding thing for us.

In the roofing industry, what do you find most challenging and most rewarding and why?
One of the biggest challenges in the roofing industry is pricing. We overcome this by supplying our customers with quality. We create a value which prevails over price. Our customers know they can trust us to give them the best there is to offer. As for the most rewarding, I’d have to say our ability to provide job security and a good place to work for people and the families they need to care for.
How do you respond to unsatisfied customers?
We respond to unsatisfied customers by finding the issue and resolving it to the best of our ability. Jesse Curry, our Vice President, has said, “We are willing to fix our mistakes. That is what sets us apart.” Client feedback is very important to us and we do use it to improve our services. Once we thought we had a problem with cleaning up after jobs. However, through better survey questions using GuildQuality, we learned it was a problem of communication and supervision. So, we solved this problem by adding three new supervisors.
Why did you initially choose to become a Guildmember and why have you continued your membership with GuildQuality?
We originally became a Guildmember in order to receive better feedback from our customers. Our owner, Gary Curry, continually checks all comments made by our clients and can quickly remedy any problems that come up. We always appreciate customer feedback, which is why we continue to use GuildQuality.
