It was an outstanding service. They came prior to the estimated time, and they installed everything in one day. They did an amazing job.
The technician who came out to check our roof for a possible leak is the reason we agreed to talk with you about windows. Your salesman then continued to build our good feelings about your company. Your people are your best asset and your best advertisement.
I was visited by HomeFix Custom Remodeling (HCR) canvasser, which then led to a sales visit and later on an installer. The project involves replacing (effectively) two old aluminum windows that have caused a lot of heat leak (conversely, a cold draft) during cold days. They carry a selection of high-quality windows which perform quite well (I chose “Provia Endure” product line). It changed the game for the two rooms in which the windows were installed—they were no longer as drafty as before, now exposing the other sources of cold draft. Overall I was very happy that the windows were replaced—the replacement was a necessity to save energy and increase comfort in the long run.
The delivery of the windows happened to be earlier than originally promised, which was a welcome positive. The person who did the actual replacement was very courteous, professional, and friendly. He came on-time and finished promptly, no need for a second visit to address any issues. The entire replacement process took only half a day (if that long) and he left the job site in a clean slate as if nothing had happened. In the world of trade, where so many people are doing the job unprofessionally (and get away with bad workmanship), HCR’s installation is a welcome treat to homeowners.
I want to share a critical comment only on one thing, which is the marketing tactic. When the sale person had the information/marketing session, he gave a quote that was supposed to be good for one year. However, the price was unbearably high, presumably because it was treated as a "custom remodeling" project. However, the gentleman also said that as a marketing strategy, he would make my house a "sample house" for the neighborhood to feature the excellent workmanship of the company. He would give me a much lower price (almost half) but I have to commit on the spot. I have seen similar tactics employed by other companies, so this is not that unique (or that bad for that matter). My point is, if you are among the lucky ones with money to spare to obtain good remodeling results, use this company by all means. I am happy with all the people that I have been dealing with. However, if you are rather limited on the budget, you may not be able to afford their price. Perhaps if you have a strong negotiating skill, you may be able to get the price down further.
They came out and did the work quickly with no mishaps. They did excellent work.
Very satisfied with the whole process , salesman very good, window quality very good, great warranty, order process faster than expected. very happy with the installer, very knowledgeable put down tarp to keep area clean removed and hauled away old windows caulked in new windows and replace old aluminum casing on outside. did a great job .
The men were here promptly and did not leave a mess and the doors are working fine.
Excellent work
Very knowledgeable about the entire experience
Very pleased with their performance to satisfy the customer and throughly explaining the process.
Very good
These guys are great! Don't hesitate to call them to get the job done. You will be totally satisfied, and the job will be done perfectly.
They are pricey.
I would not recommend the company to anyone.
Workers arrived on time and did a good job on the roof, however after removing the shingles they said that there were rotten boards that needed to be replaced. The bill was 2,668 dollars and it had to be paid separately and was unable to be financed with the roof. The person who was calling was Graham North saying this bill had to be paid. I understand that there maybe additional cost once the job is opened up but the way that they went about it I found was deceptive. My mother is in her mid nineties. I paid the bill but I won’t be doing business with you anymore and not only will I not recommend your company I will tell people to stay away.
HomeFix Custom Remodeling is a great company! I am very satisfied with the project they did. They cleaned up well after the installation, too.
Love my new front door! No problems, no re-do’s of any kind! Work was not hurried, it was precise and everything was wiped down and cleaned! Awesome job! Thank you so much!
They are very good at what they do.
The workmanship and quality of the materials were great, but my issues were with the communication break down with installers. None of the installers spoke English, only Spanish, which was confusing, difficult, and frustrating. It was hard for me to interact or ask questions, because they did not understand. They had to keep calling someone on the phone for me that spoke English to help me.
We paid a lot for the roof replacement. The crew was sloppy, I'm still finding a few nails and pieces of shingles around my property. They had to come back out to repair damage to our siding that they caused while replacing the roof. They never fully repaired the gap in the gutter guard. They tried, but there is still a gap where leaves might be able to get into the gutter.
Great customer service experience, communication. I had seamless leaf less gutters installed, trim on two windows, & a storm door. Homefix should be very proud of their team work involved.
They didn't finish the job. They left the top part of our door incomplete and looking worse than it started, and then just offered me a check for $150.00 to not come back to fix it. It will cost more than $150.00 to make it look right.
I have an eye appointment in the morning they were supposed to be there between 12 and two. I have an eye appointment in the morning they were there before I got back from my eye appointment which was about 1030, 11 o’clock they did excellent work and were very clean.
The project started off rough with the company. Everyone worked very hard to get it going; it took months. The service people were great.
Yes, will would recommend HomeFix Custom Remodeling DMV & have!
I have already recommended to my entire family and several others. I asked Chesley for business cards and have all that he gave me to people.
