Carlsen Design & Construction is a Washington, DC based boutique remodeling and construction firm using the design/build process throughout Washington DC, and Maryland. Our work includes whole and partial building renovations and new build. Green building practices are integral to all our construction processes.

We have developed a reputation for superb craftsmanship, excellent warranties and unparalleled customer service while designing to our customers' budgets--whatever they may be.

Founded in 2001, the firm does residential and commercial projects, and works regularly in historic districts in DC including Georgetown. Mr. Carlsen has created a team of reliable, honest and highly skilled construction professionals who strive to meet and exceed the expectations of the architect and client.

With his education and background, he brings a strong commitment and professionalism to every project. Before starting his construction company, Mr. Carlsen worked as a management consultant overseas and served in the United States Marine Corps. He has a BA from Rollins College and an MBA from the University of South Carolina.

is it standard to hold a cooling unit up by a belt to prevent it from leaning? this belt slipped and was tighten to again to prevent it from leaking
