When we first spoke with the representative, Beth Martin, everything was going well. When we finished with the paperwork, we were introduced to the Project Manager (PM) responsible for building our house. A few months in we were notified via email this had changed and a new PM had been assigned. Randy McClure introduced Matt Harbison to me when we met at the build site to select the location of the build. Not sure how long it was but then we received an email from Brendan Kisby-Green that he was now assigned as the PM.
There are two identical homes being built side by side. So you would think they would be the same. They are not. The house next to me has crows feet on steroids. NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED TO MINE. Mine must have been hummingbirds feet.
I found out both garage entry door has the wrong doors installed.
My garage lights are interior lights, where the house next door has what looks like garage lights.
We have 2 different styles of interior doors. This is my fault, I should have noted it during the walkthrough.
We closed on January 22, 2024. I am still waiting on window shutters for the front of my house. The electrical installers placed the entry lights too low, and the electrical outlet too high. This prevented the shutter installer from installing shutters on the windows.
They were always there, always answered questions and extremely helpful.
Very timely work. Good craftsmanship. Keeps buyer informed of everything. Great company. Brent Patton and Jana Terrell were both great to work with.
They are very friendly, professional and suggestive when needed. Their showroom is fantastic and they have on site model homes
America's Home Place exceeded my expectations at every stage of the process.
I recommend them, but they are slow.
I would neither recommend or not recommend America's Home Place. I would only tell our story (the challenges and the outcome).
I would recommend America’s Home place to anyone including friends and family.
Overall AHP made sure we were happy with the final product.
Everything was completed quickly and efficiently. Great communication with the project in all stages. I always knew what was going on and what the next steps were. All my concerns and questions were answered during the build.
After exploring several cheaper manufactured homes, we looked at a Deltec. I owned a Deltec previously, and loved the quality and design, but it was 40% more expensive than AHP, and offered a smaller house. We came to an AHP Open House in Johnson City, TN, and were impressed with the floor plans, included interior furnishings (granite countertops), and the warranties.
I've already had people ask me about who built my house and without any hesitation I recommend AHP. My experience with them was great.
Easy to work with, flexible products, good staff and responsiveness.
Removed one star because under the house, crawl space is not level, it's high in the center. The grading company didn't follow orders. And the shower door is backwards. A 3d walk through program would have let us see the door and know it was on the wrong side.
Lowell and his team addressed everything. They did great. They were easy to work with. They listened and addressed all of our concerns.
It was a pleasure to do business with this office
Throughout the entire process until the end, we had had people come through to look. They are still looking at our home. We will continue to give them praise. We are really happy with our home. People saw it going up and couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I have one person that has been back twice wanting the same home. Everyone is very happy with it, not just us, we love it.
Great experience with selection of materials and floor plan. Construction was ahead of schedule and Project Manager was great to work with.
America's Home Place was excellent to work with. I felt they did a good job of working with me and what I wanted.
Great people to work with very professional
Our family turned to AHP Albany to build our new home in neighboring Lee County. The entire experience has been a pleasure. From the first phone call to dealing with any minor post-build issues, everybody has been terrific. Bailey was patient and very helpful in setting up the design with options in our budget. Jessica worked with the county to finalize arrangements to split an existing parcel to allow for the new building, and David worked with us every step of the way to make sure all the sub-contractors were prompt and professional. Any issues that came up were taken care of, and we are very happy with our new home. Thanks team!
AMERICAS HOME PLACE FROM THE ANDERSON SC OFFICE DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB.
The models are good, stating prices are good, but workmanship is poor, post-sale support is terrible from the Monroe office (except for Holly who is amazing) project support was amazing with Dane as PM, pre-build process is a disaster and more like the proverbial "dumpster fire"
We built during a time right after COVID-19 when things were chaotic. The subcontractors at the time were scarce and several were doing substandard work. In the course of the build, we had a couple of major and quite a few minor issues that had to be addressed. Ultimately, during the build America's Home Place corrected the major issues, and the minor issues were corrected after closing. The biggest problem I saw with America's Home Place was the lack of oversight with the subs knowing they were having those types of problems. Ultimately, it was the warranty team who came out to fix everything. Their workmanship and professionalism are what restored our faith in America's Home Place.
I recommend America’s Home Place. Their team delivers a transparent and efficient building experience. They stand out for their quality and professionalism.
