Poor customer service. They went past the deadline to finish the home. Our floors have waves; we are walking up and downhill in our house. The walls also have waves in them; they are not straight.
Make sure you have everything in writing and check the little details.
I’m likely to recommend and I have already recommended multiple times.
We are extremely happy with our home and have already started recommending AHP to friends and family that are considering building in the future.
The employees in America's home place made my family feel comfortable and they really cared about my experience in getting a new home. Everyone who works at America's Home Place in Dothan was just so nice and they helped us tremendously and made our experience so smooth. After the home was built they have been so completely courteous and helping us fix small minor problems with our home it has just been so wonderful. I highly recommend America's Home Place to anyone who wants to build a new home for themselves and their family.
America’s Home Place made one of the most stressful events someone could go through into an easy and enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend!
It was exceptional. They promised a time frame and finished it. It was a few months and that is unheard of in this economy. They started and finished on time.
There are some contractors that stood out. They were nice to see and do the home.
We were really happy with them when we started the process. They gave us a 6-9 month time frame and our home was completed in 4 months. Everyone was very communicative, and every project manager was on top of everything. They also have a great referral program that we have already referred our neighbors for.
I would specifically recommend Daniel Wilson, our project manager. He was great.
Josh was great to work with throughout the build.
We had America’s Home Place build 6 houses over a 6 year span. We have nothing but good things to say about this Company. Scott Brettel is always ahead of the game in giving us much needed ideas for our houses plans, we would be lost without his expertise . Mr Bill is so knowledgeable in so many spectrums, we can always count on him to be sure that we stay on tract .
., Doug the warranty man goes far.beyond our expectations to be sure that we are satisfied. The office workers are at the top of our expectations also. They have a team of workers that goes above and beyond to be sure they make our experience with them satisfactory.
America's Home Place is a very competent and easy to work with company. We are blessed with a new home that we love.
Absolutely. Quality. Affordability. Value.
Absolutely not! The people on the building side of the company lacked honesty and integrity. Our project was the third time we had built a home, and this company was by far the worst experience of the three. I would prefer a root canal with no anesthesia before dealing with this company again (minus Beth, from sales, who was always knowledgeable, courteous, and responsive).
Jeremy is the best! I have recommended him to others in Shiloh Springs HOA in Rutledge, TN.
Have recommended to at least three or four people.
In general, we were very happy with our experience with America's Home Place.
When we first spoke with the representative, Beth Martin, everything was going well. When we finished with the paperwork, we were introduced to the Project Manager (PM) responsible for building our house. A few months in we were notified via email this had changed and a new PM had been assigned. Randy McClure introduced Matt Harbison to me when we met at the build site to select the location of the build. Not sure how long it was but then we received an email from Brendan Kisby-Green that he was now assigned as the PM.
There are two identical homes being built side by side. So you would think they would be the same. They are not. The house next to me has crows feet on steroids. NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED TO MINE. Mine must have been hummingbirds feet.
I found out both garage entry door has the wrong doors installed.
My garage lights are interior lights, where the house next door has what looks like garage lights.
We have 2 different styles of interior doors. This is my fault, I should have noted it during the walkthrough.
We closed on January 22, 2024. I am still waiting on window shutters for the front of my house. The electrical installers placed the entry lights too low, and the electrical outlet too high. This prevented the shutter installer from installing shutters on the windows.
They were always there, always answered questions and extremely helpful.
Very timely work. Good craftsmanship. Keeps buyer informed of everything. Great company. Brent Patton and Jana Terrell were both great to work with.
They are very friendly, professional and suggestive when needed. Their showroom is fantastic and they have on site model homes
America's Home Place exceeded my expectations at every stage of the process.
I recommend them, but they are slow.
I would neither recommend or not recommend America's Home Place. I would only tell our story (the challenges and the outcome).
