Ken Garland Homes has become known as one of premier custom home builders in the Memphis area for two generations. Ken Garland Homes was founded by Ken Garland Sr in 1965.

Ken Garland, Jr is one of only 20 home builders from around the nation selected to participate in the National Association of Home Builders – Pacesetter Builder 20 club. (www.pacesetterbuilders.com) This allows groups of builders from similar, non-competing home building firms from around the nation to meet twice a year to discuss proven techniques and the latest trends in design, production and management. The knowledge they gain from each other enables the Pacesetter Builder 20 club members to improve their business operations, increase quality of the homes they build and raise our standards of customer service. To date the Pacesetters have met in the following cities: Washington, DC, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Memphis, TN Philadelphia, PA, San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Omaha, NE, Cleveland, OH, San Francisco, CA, Hartford, CN and Seattle, WA. Ken Garland, Jr served as the 2000 president of the group as well as the local president of the Memphis Area Association of Home Builders.
