Legacy Design Build Remodeling, founded in 1988 and headquartered in Scottsdale, has earned a reputation as the Phoenix area's premier design and remodeling firm. But don't just take our word for it - ask our customers. You'll find that when it comes to experience, value and quality, Legacy ranks among the best in Arizona. Legacy Design Build Remodeling provided quality from start to finish, with attention to detail, knowledgeable and skilled professionals , and excellent communication throughout the project. The new kitchen and adjacent upgrades are beautiful.
I was most satisfied with the overall experience. They were wonderful to work with and they were consciences and patient with us when issues arose. We are still tying up a few loose ends but I am overjoyed with the end result. I know that if we had gone with someone else we would not have the results we have. We have recommended them and we will continue to do so.
The project consultant listened but did not hear what we wanted from our remodel. We were told that things could not be done the way we had requested and that all permits would be obtained. The VP of the company was not even interested enough at our final meeting to go look at the cabinets we were unhappy with even though he was only a hallway away. Permits that should have be obtained were not obtained.Project was two and a half months longer than scheduled.
There were multiple issues that complicated this master bathroom remodel. During the design phase, we discovered that the McGarry’s had completed several previous projects without obtaining appropriate permits; and they tasked us with creating a design that would be code compliant but not require a permit – which we did. The final design was approved by the McGarry’s prior to signing a Build Agreement. Further, costs increased during the course of the project due to the clients’ decisions to upgrade finishes, all of which were documented and signed by the McGarry’s. What may have contributed to the clients’ dissatisfaction is the fact that while the project was in progress, Mrs. McGarry was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo treatments, which resulted in scheduling delays. At the completion of the project, the McGarry’s balked at paying for the upgrades they requested, authorized and received.
This desgin company is rated number one in Scottsdale and has been demonstrated by the professional team that interfaced with us on our dream for a contemporary master bath with a soakinig tub and shower. The soaking tub with a build-in heater controls the water temperature to the temperature required to relax the muscles. The wood tile gives the space a contemporary look and a realxing atmosphere.
Be very careful when you deal with Legacy. Make sure that all changes are in righting and you are informed of any additional costs. Legacy is very unwilling to concede a reduction in the contract price even though you can prove the mistake was made by Legacy. If you want a project to go smooth, find another contractor.
Overall I had a positive experience working with Legacy Design Build. The quality of the workmanship as well as the quality of the subs that were brought in for the work was great. A couple of areas that fell short of expectations was around keeping to schedule as well as the timeliness of communications on progress against schedule. I felt like I had to constantly check in on items that I would have expected to have been notified about automatically.
Profession, good quality work and Ed Feeney is a great site manager.
It was a good experience and I am very happy with my remodel. The only thing that I would recommend is having the construction group get involved during the design phase, as we did change a few items based on the superintendent's input.
I found the men to be very professional and friendly. They went out of their to satisfy our needs. Minor changes were not a problem for them. We would use them again.
Everything has been great so far. Mark has been great to work with. He is professional and responsive to our needs.
I was most satisfied with the project Manager. He was very good at what he was doing, kept communication, he kept things clean and was the most positive. I also love the outcome.
Quite disappointed with little return on investment while working with this company. Moving forward, I plan on requesting multiple bids from competitors in the future prior to proceeding with a project.
Quality of Legacy Carpenters, Tradesmen, Superintendent, plumber, electricians and painters; were excellent in craftsmanship, communication and courtesy.
The individuals I worked with from Legacy Design Build Remodeling were extremely professional. They took care of my needs. Our goal was to make the house beautiful and we reached that goal.
I got quality work done. Brian Young and Ed Feeney were on top of things which was great; it was great working with both of them. Our goal was to make a beautiful house and we achieved our goal. The house looks spectacular. I am happy.
I am most satisfied with the quality of their work.
I was most satisfied with the design process and Legacy's willingness to make adjustments as needed.
Their expertise in the entire project & their suggestions of alternate options & ideas. When we changed our minds about something it didn't seem to phase them & we really appreciated that!
I chose Legacy in the first place because of Rosie's history with the company, but Brian and Ed are now in the same category as Rosie-A#1!
I told everybody that I usually do things the cheapest way possible--like a used Volkswagon--using Legacy was doing the job like a brand new Caddie!
