Ken Spears Construction, Inc., has been providing remodeling solutions to homeowners in the DeKalb County area since August 25, 1975. The company is a full-service remodeling company.

We do interior and exterior remodeling projects. We perform kitchen and bath renovations, sunroom and room additions, basement finishing, exterior siding, decks, and window and door replacements.

We have our in-house carpentry staff to perform the carpentry skills for the project, client consultants who listen to and work with the homeowners to determine the needs and solutions and a designer who integrates those ideas onto paper, and an office manager who handles the administrative tasks.

Our high "repeat and referral" rates are due to the commitment to customer service. We have relationships with many of our clients dating back 30 years and continue to work with them as their needs arise. We continue to explore new technology and techniques for the latest developments.

It starts with the initial visit with the Client Consultant. Our Client Consultants are trained to provide our clients with the answer that is in their best interest. It is a process of working with the client so that there is a good working relationship with our company who may be sharing their home for the next two months!

Our mission statement embraces personal and professional growth for all staff members. We promote formal education and encourage peer mentoring whenever possible. Industry experts are brought in to work with staff on both management skills and production techniques. Attendance at large-scale trade shows whenever possible is encouraged. We seek opportunities to expand our knowledge base on the building trades in general.

We are very selective during the hiring process and have employees who are highly self motivated.

We like the challenge that remodeling offers. Every project is unique, it keeps us focused on addressing the particular challenges of that job, and we are able to see a noticeable difference when we are done. The opportunity to work directly with the homeowner, actually in the same space, has been a very rewarding and fulfilling experience.

At Ken Spears Construction, Inc., we see the marketing function as one of education. From our years of experience, we have learned what works really well and are able to anticipate where challenges may occur. Our main marketing comes from word of mouth and referrals from our past clients, even from some homeowners who wished they had hired us!

We plan to address the remodeling needs of the area by a growth pattern that will allow us to respond to the requests/needs/numbers while still providing the service that people expect of us.
