Beautiful workmanship on the portico and walkway. Mike Winn worked with us to make sure that we had the design we wanted. The outcome enhances our home tremendously. We have received numerous compliments and we love the result.
We really liked our team - my husband works at home and he and Conrad got along great. Dave just came in and took charge - we always felt very comfortable with what he was telling us during the whole process. Christina was terrific and took time to talk about my style and looked around our house to see how we lived. This was a wonderful experience.
The very first day they put up a sign in the kitchen stating the work place rules. Our friends that stopped by to see the remodel "in-progress" were really impressed with seeing this very simple sign taped to the window.
I contacted Winn Design after my home was damaged in a hail storm. Working with them has been a very positive experience. They did not pressure me to sign a contract like some of the competing companies did. Winn Design & Remodeling was very low key and professional. I had a hard time deciding what product I wanted to use, but after finding the Hardy product in the color I wanted, I am very satisfied. Winn Design worked with us and our schedule. I am very happy with them and their teams. I am delighted with the professional approach that Winn Design & Remodeling takes towards their business. They do a great job and are a very reputable company in my town.
Most everyone in our neighborhood has used Winn Design & Remodeling. I have already referred my neighbors to them. I do plan to list them in our home owners directory as a reliable contractor.
Winn Design & Remodeling was very thorough and effectively dealt with the insurance company. They worked to improve the quality of our home in a very cost effective way. William, the salesperson, made a number of suggestions and changes that all worked together to improve the quality and look of our home.
Winn Design & Remodeling are amazing at what they do and professional in their approach. They use good quality materials and they always handle problems quickly and efficiently when they arise.
I was very impressed by the quality of the materials.
Before I started this project, I spent two years figuring out what I wanted. I had clear goals which I was able to articulate. Remodeling one's house is not much fun until it is over. It takes a long time and costs a lot of money (usually more than you intend). Doing your homework beforehand pays off big time.I chose Winn Design based on size, integrity, organization and experience. I wanted a company that would not think my job too small. I wanted a company with a proven track record in both design and workmanship. I wanted a company that had a reputation they were eager to maintain or improve. I wanted a company that I could put my trust in.I was not disapopinted on any of these points.Winn is not perfect. The job did not reach completion without a single backstep, but the nature of remodeling is never completely linear. I am happy with the results. I got what I intended, and as I told Michael Winn: I would do it again with Winn.
Did research on the web. Looked at contractors with awards for jobs of the scope I was considering. Looked at size, organization and experience of the company. Wanted a local, smaller family company who had a high stake in maintaining their earned reputation. Looked at the scope and style of previous jobs. Talked to several contractors. Chose Winn because I thought they would best execute my design needs.
Integrity of the company. Willingness to make things right. Understanding of my design requirements. Understanding of job requirements.
Overall design and willingness to be flexible on contract modifications.
I have no regrets about hiring Winn Design for our addition. Extremely orgnaized, professional, competent, and dedicated. Sure, there were challenges along the way - but Winn worked with me to come to be best availible outcome. I really appreciated there that they stuck with the initial cost proposal - I never feared I was getting cheated.
The area where I was most satisfied with Winn Design & Remodeling was dealing with William Winn himself. He was a great ambassador for the company. He was very personable and we felt like we got to know him on a personal level.
Their salesman, Marty, cam to our house. i am very pleased with how the project turned out and the professional job that was done in performing the work. I think they did a really nice job.
Mr. Winn had good suggestions. Our house looks beautiful. He knows what he's talking about.
They seemed to care very much about the final product and appearance.
Overall, I would say I was satisfied with Winn, not thrilled. They were good but not excellent; however, they have the potential to be excellent. They need to be more proactive on communicating issues as they arise and make sure the customer is aware of the consequences of choices. As a homeowner, I didn't understand the difference between dential moulding vs. dentil trim; I just knew I liked what I had and was disappointed with what I got. I also didn't realize how important it was to pick out my exterior lights and mounts before the siding work began and have had to incur additional out-of-pocket expenses. Finally, when something major goes wrong (as happened with us because the wrong color siding got ordered), they noticed it but waited for me to come home and flip out when I saw my house. They said they noticed it and would get it painted at their cost - in the end it worked out but they should have actively communicated. Otherwise, I have to say that the quality of their workmanship is high and all the people are very courteous and patient. They are also good about returning phone calls promptly.
It was very pleasant and professional experience done in a very timely manner with quality materials and workmanship. We couldn't have bee more pleased with our experience with Winn Design & Remodeling.
They did not fall short. They were always on the spot and very helpful and informative. They helped us make the choices we needed to make.
Winn Design & Remodeling was prompt, effecient and responsive in every aspect of the work they did on our home -- Hardiplank siding, new roof and gutters -- to repair damage we sustained as a result of the hail storm last year. I would highly recommend them to others.
Communication and immediate response to questions
I would strongly recommend this company.
expertise, price, quailty of workmanship and materials, professionalism and willingness to work through areas of concern. Most important they were honest and delivered on all promises
everything
William was very professional. He was very courteous. He did a marvelous job for us. He never lost his patience with us. It took us a while to decide what colors we wanted. The feed back from him was great.
We had the best team.
I think we got excellent value for our dollar! In several areas, they more than met our expectations. The moldings on our windows look marvelous!
I am thoroughly impressed with Winn Design -- they performed high-quality work for a good price. They communicated with me every step of the way and there were no hidden costs or delays. I would highly recommend Winn Design to family and friends.
-- High quality work-- Communications-- Working within my budget with no hidden costs!

Homebuilders, remodelers, real estate developers and home services companies pay GuildQuality for customer surveying and performance reporting. We refer to these companies as GuildQuality Members, Guildmembers, or members.
Our service helps Guildmembers monitor customer satisfaction and -- if they choose to publish survey feedback on our public website at guildquality.com -- articulate the quality of their service for prospective customers.
All of the Guildmember information we publish at guildquality.com has been provided to us either by the member (such as pictures of work and biographical information) or by their customers via one of our surveys (customer comments, performance summaries, and reviews).
All of the customer feedback that we publish is derived from the customers we survey. Our Guildmembers provide us with their customers' contact information, we conduct the surveys, they receive the feedback, and -- if they have chosen to make their feedback public -- the member's performance report is automatically updated to reflect the response. Members may choose to publish a summary of either all of their feedback or their most recent twelve months of feedback.
In addition to average performance ratings and survey statistics, GuildQuality also publishes two types of customer commentary: Comments and Reviews.
A comment has been provided by a survey respondent in response to any one of the survey questions we ask, and a member may or may not choose to publish it. Often customers provide unsolicited testimonials or compliments, and members can choose to share these comments in their published performance report.
Many Guildmembers choose to participate in our formal review process. These members have added an additional question on their survey: "If you'd like to provide a public review of your experience working with the Guildmember, please share it here." In contrast to comments, which a member selects to have published, we publish all reviews, provided they are at least 30 words long. With each review, we include a one to five star rating provided by the survey respondent.
It is important to note that GuildQuality does not endorse the qualifications of any company. We make no predictions, warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, about the quality of any work a company on this website may provide. GuildQuality does not accept any liability whatsoever for any harm that might result from any statements presented on this website.
Prospective customers should weigh a multitude of factors when choosing the right building company, and never depend on a single source when making their decision to purchase a home or hire a contractor.
