Easier Than Expected: The Wiese company met and exceeded all our expectations. I am already creating a list of future projects for. Not only are we thrilled with our new space, but we actually looked forward to seeing them every day(not something you usually say about contractors.) It was bittersweet when our project ended but will definitely be seeking out their expertise for future renovations.

Overall Experience: Each time we completed a project people would say "I bet you're glad to have your house back." And while we were, we were also a little sad to see them go.

Expertise: This little text box doesn't have enough room to speak to this point. I welcome anyone to call me for a complete rundown. Or I'd be happy to send photos of the finished product.
Schedule: I would like to say yes, but it was so clear that everyone knew what they were doing and were so well managed by Terry and Matt that we found it was better to sit back and not dictate any kind of schedule. As noted in 4 below, the project finished exactly on time. I would trust the whole crew at Wiese to adhere to any proposed schedule.
Budget: The project finished EXACTLY on time (even with two scope changes that we added). The final cost was within 2% of the original estimate.
Sales: Terry is fantastic. She is so well organized and clear on the plan that her presentation of the project during and at the end of the design phase is easily understood. Terry's enthusiasm for what she does was apparent in how she addressed our specific project and made sure that it would meet all of our needs.
Problem Resolution: Only two issues arose in the execution of the design resulting in minor tweaks (that Terry and Matt already had work arounds for). By the time we reviewed the issue, the solution was already obvious. The finished room was actually better in both cases than the original plan.
Design: Terry and Ray are great but Lisa is one of the true unsung heroes of the team. She really helped us to frame our thinking in a way that resulted in a unified final product - clean and modern but not out of sync with the rest of our house.
Selections Process: Again, kudos to Lisa for her design selections and to Terry for connecting us with the good folks at Waterspot.
Lead: Chris was great. He was friendly, kept his work extremely clean and took obvious pride in the way his work turned out. My wife and daughter (and dog) were happy to see him every day.
Clean & Safe: Super clean. Effectively sealed off the house from any dust or debris and kept the prep area footprint small and tidy.
Employees & Subcontractors: Every sub from plumbers to housecleaners were great.
Punchlist: The work was done so well the first time through that the punch list was trivial at the end.
Overall Experience: Unfortunately I do not have a frame of reference. We have never done a significant remodel - having limited ourselves to DIY work in the past. This experience was phenomenal - especially for the first time working with a turnkey provider for remodels. We could not have asked for a better experience.
Likely To Recommend: We already have. On top of that, anyone who comes through the house wants to know who did the work because the quality of the job is so high. This was our first experience with a significant remodel and went into the contractor selection phase with a great deal of anxiety. We ultimately ended up picking Ray and Terry and the rest of the Wiese Company and were rewarded with a bathroom that exceeds all of our expectations. From the re-imagined layout to the modern look and feel to the quality of the finished work, this experience has been outstanding. I would recommend the Wiese Company to anyone - especially first time remodelers. You are in safe hands.

She said that two of the people in the conversation had used The Wiese Company and both said they would use them again in a second. No one else in the conversation said they would use their contractor again. The Wiese Company is an exceptional operation that delivers on the things that matter most to us when considering a home project; honesty, reliability, timeliness, cleanliness, and quality of work. I never really thought I had the space for a working kitchen.AlI can say is I why did I ever wait so long! I guess if it meant getting the Wiese Team then it it was worth the wait.Ray spent so much time with us in the planning phase so he would really understand what we needed and what we wanted. He didn't rush us but he seemed to know when to give us a little push. He was incredibly patient with my compulsive organization and research. And my husband was thrilled to have Ray be the middle man.
Schedule: Actually finished a week ahead of schedule!
Budget: I really appreciated how Ray had all the costs laid out from the very beginning and every time we made a change we all signed a change form so there were never any questions. I felt Ray always gave us a choice from low cost to moderate to most expensive.
Sales: I can't remember a time when Ray took more than a day to get back to us. It's amazing how much personal time Ray gives his clients.We had been thinking about a vaulted ceiling but the cost would not have been worth the value. Ray didn't give up, by angling the ceiling up slightly on each side we have the feel of the vaulted ceiling without the cost. The square feet of my kitchen didn't change but it feels twice the size!
Problem Resolution: The staff are calm and even-tempered. It didn't matter what came up or what questions we had, they took time to answer them in a comprehensive manner. If they didn't have answers that day they did the research and got back to us promptly.Like when I insisted the double French doors to the deck open out. Ray could have made me feel like I had no idea what I was talking about. Instead he did the research and came back to us excited by what he had found to give us what we wanted.
PM Communication: Superb, beautiful, craftsmanship down to every little detail. Tom's pride in his work shows up in my splendid kitchen.
Design: I love, love, love my kitchen. It seems hugh and I have so much storage space that I actually have extra space.I have never enjoy cooking more. Every time I cook I'm so grateful that we found the Weiss Team.Even our best friends love cooking in our kitchen! So much that they call and say we're bringing dinner but we're cooking it at your house! I can have 3-4 people working in the kitchen and we never run into each other. Even my son who is a builder commented on how easy it was to cook together in our new kitchen.I love that I'm no longer isolated in the kitchen while our guests are in the living room. Now that the space is open to the dining area everyone hangs out at the breakfast bar.
Selections Process: Thank heavens for Ray. One of the things we made clear was that we wanted Ray to limit our choices and I'm so glad we did. There were so many choices to make and so little time. Ray spent enough time getting to know us in the beginning that he was able to narrow down the choices he brought to us.
Communication: I really appreciated Ray's willingness to listen to any ideas or suggestions we had. He never said no right away even if he wasn't familiar with what we were asking. He allows time for a reasonable give-and-take between the client and himself.
Clean & Safe: I was amazed at the end of each day at the cleanliness of the job site. I found Tom at the end of one day staying late to clean up some dust and dirt that had fallen from the ceiling onto my washer and dryer. I could tell in was not in him to leave a job site any way but clean and safe.
Employees & Subcontractors: The employees we're incredibly polite and respectful, including the subcontracts who worked on the project.
Value: The best money we've every spent on our home and we've done quite a bit of renovation.
Punchlist: Punchlist! Not only did they finish a week ahead of schedule I don't think there were even 5 items on our punchlist. It's been one and a half years and absolutely nothing has fallen apart, cracked or has gone wrong in any way.
Overall Experience: Too bad I can't give a 10!
Additional Comments: We plan to move north for retirement. In my dreams I now imagine moving my dream kitchen to Maine with us. I don't know how I will bear leaving it behind when the time comes.

Selections Process: They did a great job helping me with the design and with choosing products and paint colors. My time was very limited. In fact I did not think that I had the time to undertake a major renovation. The Wiese Company made it possible for me to get the job completed with the limited time that I had available.. The last day of the job, Ray stopped by and noticed that there was nothing on the windows. He sent one of the team members to purcahse and install some window treatments so that the new space was ready for occupancy. That is just one example of how the Wiese Company goes above and beyond what you might expect.
Lead: Matt did a great job. There was major renovation going on in the house, but things were kept organized and clean and safe. He even made sure that my 3 cats were OK.
Clean & Safe: Always!!
Recognition: Matt Coady was the lead carpentar on our job. He was great!. He was there every morning and made sure that things got done on schedule and with minimal disrutpion to the rest of the house.
Additional Comments: The entire staff at the Wiese Company as well as their subcontractors were a pleasure to deal with. Always hlepful and professional. An excellent team. We had a special need to get our renovations done in a timely manner. We were doing renovations that would make the house handicap accessible so that one of its occupants could leave the nursing home and finally come home.to stay.Ray Wiese made sure that things were done on time. In the design phase he went above and beyond to make Stan feel like part of the process. He made several visits to the nursing home to get Stan's input. He even brought samples of products to be used. in the job. The new space is beautiful and a safe place for Stan. It meets all of his needs. Thank you Wiese Company for being so terrific! We really appeciate the job that you did. Stan is so happy to be home in his beautiful new space. .

We interviewed a number of contractors for our job, with professionalism and project management being very important components of our decision making process, and Wiese came in well above the others.
Problem Resolution: I think a true measure of a company is how they manage problems. We give great credit to The Wiese Company, Matt especially, for alerting us to problems that occurred during the project and handling each with a high level of honesty and professionalism. The most significant incident was the error in laying the mud room floor. We did not notice the error but Matt did and pointed it out immediately. It was a potential disaster for the project time table and budget but Matt did the right thing and we addressed it accordingly.
PM Communication: Matt was great. We spoke regularly and he always let me know what was going on and what decisions he needed from me. Matt really helped the project move along smoothly.
Design: N/A. We did not use Ray's design services (although we probably should have...)
Communication: The weekly meetings with Alexi and Matt were very helpful as were my almost daily discussions with Matt on site.
Clean & Safe: I've never seen cleaner construction site and many in my family and other service providers who happened on site during the project said the same.
Value: When you measure quality of work and project management we believe we got an exceptional value for our money
Overall Experience: Everyone at Wiese was exceptionally responsive to our questions and needs. I should make specific reference to a plumbing problem we experienced on our first weekend in our new space. I called Ray and Matt in the afternoon of Super Bowl Sunday and both got back to me within minutes and had a plumber on site within the hour. I was very appreciative and impressed.

Additional Comments: The process was very pleasant. We are going to use them again for another project - they know how we feel about them. They are great and we recommend them. We have watched a lot of neighbors have horrible experiences with contractors, so it is very nice that we had such an excellent experience!
