Given the sketchy reputations many remodelers and contractors have, Tabor stands out as exemplary. The company is our "go to" construction company for many house-related projects. We have recommended them to friends/family over the years.
Areas Of Satisfaction: Installing an interior elevator is a complicated project. I was very impressed with the design (one hardly notices the elevator) and the electrical work.
Employees/Trade Contractors: The electrician (Anthony), the "demolisher" (Brian), the carpenter (Frank) the tile man (Wilbur) and the painters (several) were all excellent.
Expectations Met: Met and exceeded expectations!

The weekly tagup was also extremely beneficial. The team was incredibly responsive to our desires and we were comfortable discussing options with them throughout the build.

They did not feed us a pre-packaged idea, but really let us decide what options would work best for our desired outcome. The communication back and forth was always clear and we never felt in the dark on any aspect of the project. Our input was valued and listened to.
Employees/Trade Contractors: Everyone who worked on our project was fantastic. We especially appreciated Frank Howard as the lead carpenter on the job who helped make everything run as smoothly as possible each day. We also really appreciated the HVAC contractors who went above and beyond to address the heating system issues during the coldest part of the winter. Lastly, Rick Crump and John Tabor were always responsive to our questions or concerns and made sure to address every issue, big or small. We really couldn't have asked for a better crew from beginning to end.
Expectations Met: The project exceeded our expectations a hundred times over. We were amazed at the organization, craftsmanship and ability to stick to the schedule. The project finished on time and under budget with only the smallest of changes or delays along the way. We could not have asked for a better renovation project. We imagined this process being very stressful and difficult on our family, and in the end, it was one of the most stress free experiences we have had as homeowners.
Referrals: I have already recommended Tabor Design Build to a number of homeowners in our neighborhood.

This is what distinguishes your company from the rest. How many companies would have made their subcontractors completely redo work? Especially when the owner might not know the difference? This is what impressed me the most about Tabor Design.
Areas Of Satisfaction: Tabor Design Build took care of me and I am so grateful. After years of neglect, my home was in terrible state of disrepair, e.g. broken fixtures, holes in walls, inoperable doors, rotting wood, etc. The Tabor Team took my ideas and then added their own, and the result is fantastic. I am now proud of my home. I completely trusted their advice and was so impressed with their work that I ended up asking them to do more. People who know far more about construction that I do have commented on the high quality of the work and the attention to detail. Also, there was no stress at all - the staff is friendly and accommodating - going beyond what is expected or required - they almost felt like family. As stated above, the detail and workmanship that went into the installation and finishing of the cabinets was the most impressive part of the whole job. High quality cabinets will look only as high-end and high-quality as the finishing details and overall quality of installation. In this case - the cabinets look great !
Expectations Met: The new kitchen is everything I dreamed it would be now that it is open to the dining room and considering the new cabinets, lighting, wood floors, granite counters, and glass tile backsplash.
