August 5, 2011I am now the proud owner of a distinctive System Pavers driveway and front entry. Neighbors taking their neighborhood walk watched with interest as the work was being done. Now they all stop and give us a âtwo thumbs upâ if they happen to see us in the yard. I even got an email from one of my distant neighbors saying âYour new driveway is beautiful.âIt all took place rather quickly. We had lived with an exposed aggregate concrete driveway and front entry steps. It had cracked from heavy trucks turning around in our driveway or delivering materials to our remodel done several years ago. We had replaced those sections so now the different parts of the driveway didnât match. And, now the driveway had cracked again in a couple of sections. We were faced with replacing those sections, replacing the entire driveway, or doing something different. We wanted to get something done.For the past two years we had received attractive brochures from System Pavers showing attractive driveways, walks and patios. I had always meant to call and learn more about their product but never did. Finally, I filled out the on-line form requesting a free consultation with a design specialist. The next day we received a call from Ray Lopez, Senior Design Consultant for System Pavers and an appointment was setup for 4pm the following Monday. Over the weekend, my wife and I spend quite a bit of time on the System Pavers website looking at various installations and products in preparation for Rayâs on-site visit.Ray is a great representative for his company. You could tell that he had a passion for his product, was very knowledgeable about design and installation details, had extensive pictures of different types of installations and reference letters from previous customers. My wife and I perused his materials as he measured our driveway and entry steps. We managed to negotiate a price subject to our checking references of other installations and making the final selection of materials. We very seldom make decisions this quickly but Ray was persuasive and our agreement gave me great flexibility. Ray had agreed that they could start the job in two weeks. Our situation was complicated by the fact that I was leaving on a seven-day trip on Wednesday. That gave us three days and the weekend after my trip to check references, look at other installations in order to make material and pattern decisions, and make the final go-no-go decision.Picking materials (color) was the hardest part. What we thought we liked by looking at pictures didnât hold up when we looked at an actual installation. It just wasnât right for our home. Seeing the actual stone was quite different than looking at pictures or on-line images. While driving around to look at installations, we called the System Pavers office in Redmond to see if we could stop by to see their various product displays. Colby Pedersen, Sales Manager, met us at the door, showed us their displays, discussed our project, suggested some refinements and helped us select a different material and the final pattern. Colby was very friendly, informative and helpful. We still wanted to see an actual installation of the selected material and talk to neighbors who had their driveway installed by System Pavers.While talking to neighbors with System Pavers driveways, we picked up some ideas for our driveway drains and entrance step designs. We selected Boston Blend for our materials with charcoal borders and Geo-Tech for a liner. We were a bit concerned because so few people had selected this stone.Monday the crew arrived on site. The on-site survey was accomplished. I made last minute additions for driveway drains and lights for the stairs. The cars were moved out of the garage and the demolition began. The pavers were delivered the next day. Our driveway was a beehive of activity for a little over a week. The workers were skilled. Removal of the cement, excavation of material to bring driveway to the right grade for addition of the rock base and sand was all done with precision. Strings were stretched out, many measurements taken and retaken to ensure perfection. I was particularly impressed with Walter from Guatemala. His skill with laying the stones and carving the edge stones to fit the intricate spaces with a large gas motor driven carbide saw was uncanny. Checks were continually made time and time again to keep the lines straight, the curves graceful, and the level precise.Finally on Tuesday of the second week, the job was complete. The driveway was washed and blown for a fresh clean look; the dust was blown and washed off of the house; and last minute touch-ups were done.We made the right choice for driveway replacement. The selected materials and patterns chosen complemented our newly stained home beautifully. System Pavers is a great company to work with. Colby and Ray were both knowledgeable and patient with us as we struggled through decisions.If you are considering driveway replacement or the addition of walkways and patios to your home, this is the right company and these are the right people to work with. I recommend them to you.

Homebuilders, remodelers, real estate developers and home services companies pay GuildQuality for customer surveying and performance reporting. We refer to these companies as GuildQuality Members, Guildmembers, or members.
Our service helps Guildmembers monitor customer satisfaction and -- if they choose to publish survey feedback on our public website at guildquality.com -- articulate the quality of their service for prospective customers.
All of the Guildmember information we publish at guildquality.com has been provided to us either by the member (such as pictures of work and biographical information) or by their customers via one of our surveys (customer comments, performance summaries, and reviews).
All of the customer feedback that we publish is derived from the customers we survey. Our Guildmembers provide us with their customers' contact information, we conduct the surveys, they receive the feedback, and -- if they have chosen to make their feedback public -- the member's performance report is automatically updated to reflect the response. Members may choose to publish a summary of either all of their feedback or their most recent twelve months of feedback.
In addition to average performance ratings and survey statistics, GuildQuality also publishes two types of customer commentary: Comments and Reviews.
A comment has been provided by a survey respondent in response to any one of the survey questions we ask, and a member may or may not choose to publish it. Often customers provide unsolicited testimonials or compliments, and members can choose to share these comments in their published performance report.
Many Guildmembers choose to participate in our formal review process. These members have added an additional question on their survey: "If you'd like to provide a public review of your experience working with the Guildmember, please share it here." In contrast to comments, which a member selects to have published, we publish all reviews, provided they are at least 30 words long. With each review, we include a one to five star rating provided by the survey respondent.
