Design And Selections: We loved working with Dana and Matilde. We felt they listened to what we liked, and were always prepared for every design meeting with recommendations based on our previous conversations.
Schedule: Pine Street finished only a week delayed over the span of a 4 1/2 month project which is unbelievable, given the added scope of asbestos remediation, and a few delays around certain items being delivered. This was extremely appreciated given the fact we were living with three kids under six in a 55+ community with my parents. They worked tirelessly to get the project completed so we could be back in for the holidays.
Clean & Safe: We were very appreciative of the cleanliness of the site when we visited every weekend, especially on the early stages around demo. Never did we feel unsafe or the site was dirty each time we came to view progress
PM Professionalism: Eric was the best, especially in the closing part of our project. He worked around the clock to ensure all items were taken care of so we could get back into our house. He was always communicative, and helped answer any questions we had on site.

AND Jason Whiteman is a miracle worker. No one working on the project ever seemed rushed or slacking off -- but all the work was done in an excellent manner and ahead of schedule. There was some considerable initial concern about executing such a major project at an elementary school in session in the middle of a pandemic. But everyone on the project worked assiduously to minimize any inconvenience or annoyance.
Additional Comments: Usually on a project this size, there are residual issues or bad feelings or regrets. "If only we had known..." "I only wish they had..." kind of issues. There are absolutely none of that -- either during the project, shortly thereafter, or now -- some years later. The project has been an immense benefit to our Quaker Meeting and the Quaker elementary school with which we are strongly affiliated. Most of the project areas are used daily -- and they show no signs of wear whatsoever. You've got a lot of friends at West Chester Quaker Meeting and West Chester Friends School. For example, we discovered potential in the structure we didn't know about from the beginning (a vaulted ceiling from a crawl space; dramatic beams that became both features and then accent molding; old brick left exposed in a corner as an accent and reminder of the rougher history of the house in the otherwise opulent kitchen). This kind of creative partnership was terrific.

PM Professionalism: Both Toms were wonderful to work with. Very professional and answered all of our questions as we progressed through the project. When we were away on vacation, pictures and notes were sent to update us daily.
Areas Of Satisfaction: Satisfied with the overall experience. The professionalism of everyone that worked on the project was wonderful. Going through a huge project (for us) was a little stressful, but once the team was working and so available for questions, our stress level was minimal and it was a very smooth 6 weeks. Another area of satisfaction was the cleanliness of the project. At no time was there dirt/dust throughout the rest of our home. Walls taken down, windows filled in, rebuilding walls. The rest of the house stayed clean with no dust anywhere.
Lead Source: We learned of Pine Street when Brendon Dolan was our son's baseball coach for one year. This was before we were ready to do any project. Over the next few years we followed Pine Street via their website, Houzz, and Facebook and watched their projects. When we were ready for our project, we knew who we wanted to work with.

Recognized Excellence: Well I would have to say that I would not have pulled the trigger to do this renovation if I did not have the initial design process with Matt. Matt did his homework before we even met in person for the first time. His artistic sensibility, along with his knowledge of what was and was not possible, enhanced our vision and made us fall in love with the kitchen before we even began the venture. We could never sufficiently show our appreciation for Matt. From an execution and craftsmanship perspective, Jimmy is equally as amazing. We've said it several times through our comments but we are very lucky to have had Jimmy as our on-site person. Any future jobs I do with Pine Street, will have to have Jimmy on-site. We met Sean toward the end of our design process and the beginning of the build. . Sean also has an artistic sensibility but his main role was Project Manager and he did a fantastic job. Sean keeps us in the loop at every stage and is very hands on. One of Sean's many talents is his ability as a Solution Designer. We were faced with several unexpected challenges during this renovation and Sean was extremely insightful and invaluable at finding good workable and artistic solutions. Sean made us feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. This is the first time we've worked with a contractor and felt part of the process. This was a long renovation, at least for us, and Sean definitely made it easier.

Punchlist: I fully expected, having talked to our many neighbors who had similar kitchen re-do projects done, that the schedule the contractor gave me would be a guideline that would be ultimately ignored. But Pine Street gave us a 5-6 week time frame, and I was back in my kitchen in 5 weeks and they were fully out in 6--right on schedule!
Recognized Excellence: Ken, Alan, Sean, Bill, Matt, Karen... everyone, to a person, was, again, fantastic. Ken was particularly notable in how he cleaned up after himself, how he set a tone for the others of doing things right and doing them well, how he even made sure my dog was comfortable before he left for the day!
