The company, which was started by Scott McClurg in 1978, undertakes about 200 remodeling projects a year. These projects are of all sizes and include kitchens and bathrooms, exterior living spaces, basement conversions, large-scale renovations - both inside and out -and additions. Everything was exceptional for us.
Jeff Livingstone was exceptional to work with. He was our project manager and on top of our project and making sure our needs were met.Fred Jacques was a great first face and impression of McClurg. He walked us through the whole process leading up to the work and was also here for us throughout the project.
We couldn't be more pleased with our remodeled kitchen. The design is both functional and aesthetic. McClurg builds incredible kitchens. However, we have also used the same skilled people for smaller jobs on our home. Our friends who have saw the before and after results of our kitchen project also agree!

Our project was a complete kitchen remodel which involved tearing down a wall separating the kitchen from the diningroom. We hired McClurg to design and build the space for us. They are one of the few remodeling firms in CNY providing a comprehensive service to homeowners, from creating plans,;shopping for cabinetry, counters lighting and plumbing fixtures to implementing construction. Their employees are highly skilled and we trusted them implicitly in our home.
Jim Welsh, the lead carpenter for our project is a giftedl craftsman. He monitored every detail and worked with us in implementing the design for our kitchen. The carpentry is exceptional with great care given to installing moldings and wood flooring. He was on time and made sure that the work site was clean and secure at the end of the day. He was also kind to our pet cats.

McClurg is the first company we'd go with because we like the quality of their work. I don't think there is anybody that is more reliable or does better work. You certainly get what you pay for. You get an exceptional experience. I can't see why anyone wouldn't go with them.
Andy Wargo and Peter Henderson, the lead carpenter, were both great and exceptional workers.
We were happy with them. We will call them if we need more work done.
Jayson Breckheimer was very good. I would also like to recognize Stefan Addison, our lead contractor.

I needed structural repair done to my home and I felt they had the expertise and were willing to correct the issue in a way that was still appealing to the decor of my home. They managed to build a structural beam in my family room and make it look great.
Vince Petralito, our sales representative, came out to the house on several occasions to consult with me and to answer any questions I had. He was very accommodating.

We re-did the front entrance to the house. We replaced a small inadequate stoop with a wonderful outdoor deck. Inside we defined the entryway by installing laminate flooring and separated it from the living room by building a new interior wall. The wall was also the space for the new flat screen TV. These changes really transformed the living spaces and controlled traffic flow. All the work was exceptional; we are very very pleased with McClurg's.

Everyone who works for this company is great. Everyone I worked with went out of their way to make suggestions that I would have never thought of. You can tell that the owner truly hand picks the people he wants working for him. They are a great company. I will definitely use them again.

We do look for people with great mechanical skills and just as important great people skills. These people are hard to find but when we do we treat them like gold . They are the ones that spend days with our clients . Both skills we find equally important
Jeff Loefstedt, the carpenter, is absolutely phenomenal. He has a great mechanical mind. He can spot things that could happen before he does anything.

From the beginning of the initial concept until the final inspection the experience with McClurg Remodeling & Construction could not have been any more satisfying. Every detail from paint and modeling selection with Lauren to change order and product choices with Jeff were handled professionally and expeditiously. This project was an enormous undertaking but was made manageable by the superior staff and subcontractors at McClurg.

MAVES Group was nothing but a pleasure to work with . It was a pleasure to work with a group of professionals that appreciated the hard work designing ,building the quarters that they needed . Steve ,Jamie and Crissy put a lot of effort for the MAVES and we at McClurg truly had fun doing the building for them . As per our first meeting "putting up a building can actually be a fun"and MAVES proved that so true
