I had done a lot of searching online and visited different companies in the area. I'm not sure if it was because the competitors in the area all had established neighborhoods and were not desperate for our business, but the customer service was lacking. I received the feeling of indifference. It did not matter to them whether I chose to build with them or not. The day I had my appointment with Konter Quality Homes, I was blown away by the level of customer service I received in comparison to their competitors. Mark Konter was very professional and took the time to sit with us and welcome us to Savannah, He explain the area, the neighborhood, the history of the company etc etc. Konter Homes was also able to build the home faster and offer a better price than any other builder in the area. I also appreciated that Konter Homes presented the choice of individual upgrades, rather than a packaged upgrade selection.

However, we are experiencing a problem that's been addressed in several service calls in which the service person only band-aid instead of correcting the problem. I believe if the selling agent/home builder would have calculated the cost of two units within the selling price of the Pulasli style home to supply efficient heating/cooling to both levels. It's always cold downstairs and extremely hot upstairs. The temperatures are much more than five degrees difference. Sometime in the future we must invest in another unit to supply upstairs. It would have been nice to had that additional cost within the original mortgage payment.
