We discussed options with the project manager and the team lead and decided on the route which would best handle the water runoff (which ended up being different from the originally proposed plan). The expertise of the installers helped generate the best outcome. The real test, of course, will be whether the drainage system works as planned when we have the next period of heavy precipitation.

Areas Of Satisfaction: When we were deciding we needed to replace our deck, we took our time and researched products and providers available. We interviewed 5 companies, ranging from very small businesses to national firms. To be honest, Paragon was not the least expensive, but what they have is priceless. We've termed it the "Paragon Secret Sauce". Throughout the process of deciding which company we would select, we reached out to Scott Faison numerous times via phone, email and in-person. Not one time did Scott make us feel unappreciated as potential customers. He was a wealth of information, presented us many options to fit our budget and goal, and never pressured us (unlike other companies that kept checking in regularly asking if we had made a decision). The rest of the Paragon team is equally as wonderful...they are like family to us now. Here's and example of Paragon's attention to detail and honest business practices...While all the boxes delivered were marked with the same product number, the installation team noticed that one of the rail sections for our deck was slightly different in height and style of spindle. The difference had to be pointed out to us as we didn't detect it upon first look. Apparently the manufacturer made a slight change in production between 2023 and 2024 (the section in question was the only box reflecting a 2023 mfr date). We are impressed with Paragon's honesty...other companies probably wouldn't have noticed nor brought this issue to our attention. Paragon is one of the most professional organizations with which we've ever interfaced.
Recognized Excellence: What we love about Paragon is that EVERYONE we interfaced with is superb! The company truly reflects teamwork at its best! Highly professional, respectful and truly appreciative of your business.

When I received a copy of the design via email, I had some questions and wanted some changes. The whole design process made communication of what I wanted very clear.

Follow Up: He came over to discuss the warranty and to make sure we were satisfied with the project.
Professional & Organized: Everyone was very kind and professional.
Schedule: We were hoping to have the french doors installed before Thanksgiving, and it was!

Installation Crew Professionalism: Joanna, Chris, and John were very professional and kept the area clean.
Construction Quality: The ProVia french doors look and feel great. The only minor issue is the hinges... they are making squeaking noises which was surprising considering they are new. I just need to pop the pins out and apply some silicone.

Value: I felt the cost of fiberglass doors and installation was fair considering the quality of the doors and labor.

I did bring that to the attention of the project manager, Zach Paul. I think they should do a metallic sweep, using a magnet. They should do that for any project because I also found a razor blade. I have a pet, and we drive our cars on the driveway. Fortunately, we didn't have any punctured tires, and my dog didn't find anything that we know of. I know they are always looking for areas to improve, so that is one area.
Areas Of Satisfaction: With respect to the project manager, Zach Paul, I found him to go beyond what was expected. His communication was excellent, he was definitely concerned and wanted to make sure we were happy. I told Jermey when I met with him that I thought Zach did a phenomenal job and is an outstanding employee. Overall, the project exceeded our expectations. We are just thrilled with how things went, which I think is attribute to the planning upfront that Jermey did along with Shelley in the office when we went and picked out materials, talked about the project, and reviewed what we had in mind. He offered suggestions that we hadn't thought of, so the preplanning and project design that they did as a part of the project was something that we did not expect and made the project go very well.
Current Referrals: I mentioned my neighbor to Jermey and Zach and passed their contact information along to them. They are planning to stop by and look at the workmanship that they did.

We had three proposals with the details and cost. That allowed me to see the pros and cons. That gave me a tremendous amount of information to make a decision that I am comfortable with.

Construction Quality: Extremely satisfied! Our new windows and siding are top quality. They transformed our house.
Areas For Improvement: They did not fall short of our expectations in any area.
Areas Of Satisfaction: During the sales process, they showed us and provided thorough explanations of the best products and did not engage in upselling or pressure games. Communication was very good. They were responsive to all of our questions. The window, siding, painting and gutter crews were talented, experienced professionals who were clearly not willing to sacrifice quality for speed. They did not rush to get the job done. They took their time and did everything right. We appreciated that someone on each crew took photos of the progress each day and provided them to us on Builder Trend.
Recognized Excellence: It would be difficult to select one individual. Everyone with whom we worked in the office and on site provided excellent service throughout the process.
Additional Comments: In conversations with various members of the crews, we heard over and over again that they liked Paragon in terms of how the company operates. They stressed and appreciated that Paragon believes in doing quality work with quality products, which produces happy customers. We agree.

Areas For Improvement: There was a mishap during the construction of the extended roof. It rained overnight and the water came in through my bedroom ceiling. I would suggest when constructing a roof, covering the roof with a tarp, even though rain might not be predicted, as a precautionary measure.

When a piece of old siding was accidentally damaged during the installation, Zach tracked down replacement siding that matched the original perfectly. That really impressed us.
Sales Solutions: Scott Faison met with us on multiple occasions to go over the project in-depth and recommend solutions for our home. He answered ALL of our questions about the windows and the installation process in a very timely manner. He also provided detailed specifications (including the U-factor and SHGC) on every window. We obtained window replacement quotes from three other companies and none of their sales consultants were as impressive as Scott.
Follow Up: During the installation, both Zach Paul and Scott Faison came to our home multiple times to make sure we were pleased with the process.
Professional & Organized: The installation team, led by Joanna Lee, was simply outstanding. They were professional, courteous, and hard working. They arrived ready to work and kept up that pace until they left for the day.
Schedule: Scott said the windows would be installed in August and they were!
Installation Crew Professionalism: Joanna Lee and her team (Thomas and John) were the principal installation crew and they were amazing. They ensured that every window was level and well insulated. They were extremely careful to avoid damaging any siding. They addressed all our concerns on the spot. We cannot imagine a better experience during a home improvement project. Joanna, Thomas, and John were the best!
Construction Quality: A few of the ProVia windows had minor blemishes. There was an issue with two windows, but Paragon worked with ProVia to get that resolved quickly and to our 100% satisfaction.
Clean & Safe: Joanna's team vacuumed after every window installation and cleaned the windows to ensure they indeed looked shiny and new.
Value: Paragon's cost was estimate was the second highest of our four estimates. However, we were extremely pleased with the windows' installation and feel we got good value for our money.
Areas Of Satisfaction: As described above, the quality of work during the installation exceeded our expectations.

Professional & Organized: All of the Paragon representatives demonstrated that they are professional, knowledgeable about their jobs, and willing to assist the customer. They demonstrated that they are a team throughout the project and conclusion.
Schedule: The initial start date given to me was more than a month away. However, due to their evaluation of the existing structure and our concerns about its safety, Paragon Construction began the project much sooner. Once the project began and existing materials were removed, their evaluation proved to be correct that the structure was unsafe and the start date needed to be revised.
Project Manager Professionalism: Les demonstrated knowledge and an ability to make assessments of the project to ensure that the staff were safe while working. He also came onsite several times to review the work at various stages to ensure that it was being conducted as planned. He spoke with me, as did Scott, to ensure that I understood the plans and timelines.
Communication: Les and Scott spoke with me throughout the course of the project to ensure that I understood what was planned. I was encouraged to ask questions.
Installation Crew Professionalism: Kevin and Alfredo conducted themselves in a professional manner. They spoke with me initially about what I wanted to have done. They were on time to conduct the work. The area was kept safe and clean at the end of each work day and the conclusion of the project.
Construction Quality: The porch looks beautiful. The workmanship is very impressive.
Clean & Safe: Kevin ad Alfredo took extra precautions to ensure that anyone coming to the house, while the project was being conducted, knew that the work area was not accessible.
Value: Scott and the company worked with me to ensure that we worked within my budget while ensuring that the outcome of the project was professional, safe for individuals accessing the completed project, and represented the company.
Areas For Improvement: None.
Areas Of Satisfaction: The staff were professional from my initial contact with them by telephone, onsite contacts with each, and interview at the conclusion of the project. Staff responded in a timely manner to my calls and in faxing materials to me.
Recognized Excellence: Kudos to all the staff. However, I must acknowledge Scott's enthusiasm for the job and professional manner. He is a good listener. He asks appropriate questions. He responded immediately to my contacts with him.
