Criner Construction Company was founded by Robert Criner in 1977. Robert began his remodeling career in 1972 while still in high school as a helper for a small, local general contractor. He later moved to a more professional and established firm as a foreman. At the age of 21, Robert decided to go into business for himself and he founded Criner Construction Company. He began his business as a one-man operation, soliciting business in the evening and completing the jobs during the day.
With experience, he hired a couple of part-time people and trained them. In 1985 he incorporated the company which became Criner Construction Company, Incorporated. At first, Criner was uncertain whether his company would focus on building new homes or remodeling. Over time the company has grown to eleven full-time employees who successfully focus exclusively on residential remodeling. Recently the company has decided to adjust its name to reflect this focus. Today Criner Construction Company, Incorporated is doing business as Criner Remodeling.
