Since we moved into our starter home in 1980, it became apparent it would be our forever home. We’d been planning since then to do a total renovation of our tiny 1965 kitchen, but there were so many obstacles. In the 80's, we updated it some, but it just wasn’t working anymore, and being situated in the middle of the house posed a huge design challenge affecting 4 rooms. We thought we were stuck with the original layout, but Roy gave us three options, and the third one KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF and gave us a kitchen we never thought could be possible. The Bryhn team was such a pleasure to work with. Randy answered all our questions and kept things running smoothly and on time. Rena helped us pull everything together with color and design elements to match our vision for the new space, and we are so grateful for all her suggestions. The Crew, what can we say? Rob, Chris, Dane, and David—from demolition to finish product—what a great job! They took what was on paper and made it a reality with a professional eye for every detail. True artists of the trade. By using Buildingtrend, I was able to stay on top of all of the details and understand where we were in the budget. It also kept the decision making organized.
Construction Quality: Overall, I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. From the beautiful kitchen cabinets, the new wood floors that match the original wood floors, the raising of the ceiling in the living room, the new bathroom, etc., I am very happy with all of the materials and workmanship. And Bryhn was very responsive to any questions/concerns I had about the work, making fixes if needed.
Problem Resolution: During the job, there were a few issues that came up. Bryhn would lay out all of the issues and have options to resolve. I really appreciate being given the resolution, not just hearing there is a problem.
Clean & Safe: The job site was always incredibly clean when I came to look on weekends. Really appreciated that they treated my home like their home.

Construction Quality: Actually, the results exceeded our expectations,. And everyone who has seen the kitchen, bathroom, family room and new butler's pantry has raved about the transformation of our home - in only 10 weeks!!
Problem Resolution: We really did not have any problems, just a few slight revisions along the way, but if we did, I am sure they would have.
Clean & Safe: Everything that Bryhn does is high quality. The dumpster onsite was small, only took up one space in our driveway, and is wheeled away to dump out periodically - so no huge, ugly piece onsite. Also, every night the crew cleaned up as much as possible, so that we had as much normalcy as possible in our home. We really appreciated this attention to detail.
Employees & Subcontractors: Every last person that Bryhn brought in to work in our home was excellent. The lead carpenter who was onsite every day, Bill Leamy, is outstanding and we still miss having him around!
Likely To Recommend: We tell everyone we know that they should hire Bryhn! We recommend that you seriously consideri hiring Bryhn Design / Build for your home renovation. If you are looking for high quality, meeting commitments, bringing in excellent subcontractors, providing a clear timeline for deliverables, delivering above expectations and great, high quality results, this is the company!! We really fell like we made new friends and hope to have other work for them to do for us, as we know it will be done in the most professional way. You should see the before and after pictures of our home - not to be believed, and we love the pictures that Roy provided so much that we have them on display for our guests!!

Communication: They're really really good; they are amazing. Everybody is friendly, they come in and introduce themselves, they supervise the subcontractors well, and are in and out on the project if they are not directly doing the work themselves.
Additional Comments: Construction itself is very stressful, but Bryhn Construction is really great. They try to make the construction process as painless as possible. I would recommend them to a friend without hesitation. We are really happy with what they did. They are very nice people. Everybody was so friendly, cooperative, and professional. It was pleasant working with them from start to finish.
Recognized Excellence: They were all really great. Roy was fantastic. Diane, the interior designer, was very patient and when we were stressed, she was very soothing. Rob, our project manager, was great too. We really appreciate everyone.

Additional Comments: Basically, you hear horror stories from people about remodeling all the time. We came upon Bryhn because the kitchen design person had used them and recommended we use them. We had Bryhn do our kitchen first and we were so pleased that we hired them to complete two subsequent projects for us, built-in bookcases and our basement. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. They are beyond professional, they constantly called me,they kept me informed every step of the way. If I had to leave the house, they would lock up and everything would be neat, clean and in its place upon my return. They were where they were supposed to be when they said they would be, they always did everything I asked. Their work is incomparable, their work is just gorgeous and dealing with them was a pleasure. They delivered everything they said they would. I've recommended them to many of my friends and different people, so I can't really say enough. I've had three different sets of people for the three different projects and all of them were magnificent; their manners, their workmanship, Bryhn must screen and hire to fit just to their expectations. That speaks highly of their company when three different groups of workers all do wonderful jobs. Their young new guy who built the bookcases was even outstanding, so nice and polite and really knew what he was doing. So when you take more experienced craftsmen and young, new craftsmen and they all do a wonderful job, well, I just can't say enough. They are great.
