He listened, he was attentive to detail, he was skilled with what appeared (to us, of course!) to be a challenging project. It seems like that stuff doesn't matter anymore, but it went a long way with us; especially because some of our project was being completed in the midst of a medical crisis. We deeply appreciate James and the job he completed for us and really can't say enough about how much we value him and the work he did in our home. Many folks at Blackdog have been really great to work with. John worked with us over and over again on design and we always appreciated his creative and thoughtful work. It was a long road with John and he never lost his patience and kindness. Melissa helped us out many times with our kiddos when meeting and designing and kept two young boys entertained and happy. Tim was essential to make sure it all came together. We appreciate you all and thank you for your work. We are so happy with how it all turned out after a VERY long road. We met Blackdog 6 years ago and FINALLY have a completed project and we are very happy with how things turned out.

Recognized Excellence: I would like to recognize Curt our lead contractor. He does meticulous work. I felt he really look out for us and what we needed. He was so nice to work with and made me feel very comfortable. I would also like to recognize their designer Sabina. She was wonderful to work with. She did a great job of helping us visualize how it would look when done and taking what we wanted and turning it into a vision.
How Can We Do Better?: I think they already did. Anything that was not quite right, they saw to it right away. They go the extra mile the whole way through.

One of the best parts of my experience with Black Dog was the ease of communication. Texts, emails, phone calls were always answered quickly. It was nice to be able to communicate with everyone involved via group text. All my concerns were addressed as they came up. Unexpected problems that arose were always addressed with creativity and confidence. I felt like with Black Dog, nothing was impossible. We had a fairly large remodel in which every room in my house was affected and my family and I were treated at all times with respect and genuine concern for my needs and expectations. Ideas and suggestions - lighting ideas, built-ins, etc - were made whenever possible and the end result was a remodel that went above my expectations and added to my overall satisfaction. Also Tim and Dave were very kind and understanding as my circumstances were more difficult as the remodel was being done so my father in law with Alzeimhers could move in with us. The stress of caring for an elderly parent at the same time as my home was being remodeled in the middle of a brutal winter overwhelmed me at times. But Tim and Dave took it in stride and were very understanding and went out of their way to alleviate the stress as best the could. Their concern really was apparent and I couldn't be more pleased with every interaction I had with the team at black dog. Quickly too I would like to mention Jane who came up with wonderful design ideas and she intuitively knew exactly what I was looking to build. Thank you!

She was very professional yet approachable and gave suggestions without being pushy. We went back and forth a few times regarding cabinet and tile selection and are very happy with our final choices. Our Master Bathroom looks even better then I had imagined.
