Our renovation with Amsted could not have gone any better. From the design process to demolition, building and finishing, they exceeded our expectations. They have assembled an incredible team of professionals, suppliers and contractors that made the experience a very positive one for us. The lines of communication flowed easily and we are thrilled with how they were able to create a new living space that reflects our needs and wants down to the last detail. Because we were out of town for most of the renovation, we relied on their expertise to ensure all plans were implemented as we expected. We were not disappointed. Any concerns or requests were quickly addressed.It was a pleasure to work with Valerie, Steve, Brett and Graham at Amsted and we'd highly recommend them to anyone interested in a low-stress/high quality renovation.Don H

We have and an older home (1920s) and required specialized construction knowledge to tie our addition to the existing structure. Amstead's mission was to construct the addition so that at the end of construction, new and old would blend together. Amstead's constant attention to detail, knowledable staff and adjustment throughout the construction process made this an enjoyable journey. They completed their mission and we are beyond satisfied with the outcome. Thank you !

My house was recently treated to a two-storey addition and renovation by Amsted Construction. We now enjoy not only the new space and beautiful materials but also the new way light has transformed our home. The Amsted Construction team are my heroes for realizing this project with professionalism, expertise, efficiency and good communication. I anticipated unexpected issues arising and we were always able to manage and discuss the challenges together as a team in a collegial and respectful way. I would not hesitate to recommend Amsted to anyone considering home renovation/construction and would hire them again without a second thought.

They are very good and always step up to our concerns. They exceed our expectations and their reputation. We chose them because they have a good reputation in our city. We were concerned with how disruptive it would be (with us living in the house), but they were very supportive of being respectful of us.

We have been dealing with Amsted since 1999 and continue to be thoroughly satisfied customers. In fact, after Amsted completed a four room addition to our home in 2000, we had them renovate the remainder of our 40 year old home. Whenever we have had work done, we have handed our house keys to the Amsted project manager and have gone on holiday completely confident that when we returned work would be completed. We have complete trust and confidence in Amsted.Steve Barkhouse also goes beyond the call of duty in helping his customers. A few years ago, we had a black mold/ carpenter ant problem in our house. Steve came and assessed the problem immediately and within two weeks the room was gutted, ant nests removed, black mold treated by specialists, wood replaced, insulation added, walls rebuilt and painted. We were very impressed and thankful. On another occasion when I called two days before Christmas with a problem that needed urgent attention he said "Merry Christmas" and sent a worker to complete the two hour job. We especially appreciate that Amsted hires out its workers to do small jobs. We have used this service a number of times and the workers have been very courteous, and helpful. Amsted is an excellent builder! We have complete trust in all they do.

At every stage of the process, I found Amsted Construction and their employees to be professional and courteous. The job was completed on-time, on budget and to an extremely high standard. The one-year follow-up was thorough and they were quick to address any of my concerns. I would recommend them, without any reservations whatsoever, to anyone looking to have a major project completed.

About GuildQuality and our Guildmembers

Homebuilders, remodelers, real estate developers and home services companies pay GuildQuality for customer surveying and performance reporting. We refer to these companies as GuildQuality Members, Guildmembers, or members.

Our service helps Guildmembers monitor customer satisfaction and -- if they choose to publish survey feedback on our public website at guildquality.com -- articulate the quality of their service for prospective customers.

All of the Guildmember information we publish at guildquality.com has been provided to us either by the member (such as pictures of work and biographical information) or by their customers via one of our surveys (customer comments, performance summaries, and reviews).

Surveys, Comments and Reviews

All of the customer feedback that we publish is derived from the customers we survey. Our Guildmembers provide us with their customers' contact information, we conduct the surveys, they receive the feedback, and -- if they have chosen to make their feedback public -- the member's performance report is automatically updated to reflect the response. Members may choose to publish a summary of either all of their feedback or their most recent twelve months of feedback.

In addition to average performance ratings and survey statistics, GuildQuality also publishes two types of customer commentary: Comments and Reviews.

A comment has been provided by a survey respondent in response to any one of the survey questions we ask, and a member may or may not choose to publish it. Often customers provide unsolicited testimonials or compliments, and members can choose to share these comments in their published performance report.

Many Guildmembers choose to participate in our formal review process. These members have added an additional question on their survey: "If you'd like to provide a public review of your experience working with the Guildmember, please share it here." In contrast to comments, which a member selects to have published, we publish all reviews, provided they are at least 30 words long. With each review, we include a one to five star rating provided by the survey respondent.
