... big computers!

GuildQuality is searching for a Development Director. This person will lead our engineering team, work directly with me on product strategy, and, from time to time, help us recruit more great developers and designers. We’re searching for a player/coach — a person who enjoys building applications, leading a team, and thinking critically about the direction we’re taking the product.

We’re putting off some big projects until we find this brave soul, the biggest of which is a complete rebuild of the GuildQuality application. Before we launch that work, we intend to bring someone on who can embrace our culture, our product, and the wonderful history and data we’ve amassed with our Guildmembers since 2003. With all of that goodness, he or she will help us build an (even more) amazing product and an (even better) environment for talented developers and designers.

Ideally, we’ll find someone in Atlanta or Boulder/Denver, but we’re interested in talented candidates regardless of their location. If this sounds attractive to you, read more about what it’s like to work at GuildQuality, and get in touch: geoff@guildquality.com.

Hiring: UI Designer & Front-End Developer

When it comes to the design and development of our public website, reporting application, and emails, I presently do the bulk of design and David (aka GuildQuality’s engineering department) builds everything. Occasionally, we engage designers to work on specific projects or offer fresh perspectives.

We work quickly and don’t spend a lot of time monkeying around with wireframes. We almost always favor reducing scope if we’re threatened with stretching beyond the time we allotted for a project. We like to launch quickly and iterate. This has been working well for us for a few years, but we believe we can make stronger strides with the addition of a talented designer/developer. David’s doing both application development and front-end development, and as a result, we’re not moving as fast as we could if we had a single person responsible for each.

We’re looking to add to our great sales team.

Jerrod, Andy, Mike, and Rebekah are our intrepid ambassadors. If you’ve joined GuildQuality recently, it’s likely that one of them was the first GuildQuality person you met. We like them a lot, and would enjoy having more people like them on our team, so if you know people that are similar, ask them to email something compelling to careers at guildquality dot com.

We’ve got great people on our team who work from faraway places. Being in Atlanta is a bonus, but not a requirement.

Here’s the official job description (PDF). Please help us connect with some great candidates!
