Updated & Enhanced Monthly Activity Summary
This morning, GuildQuality users who subscribe to account notifications received an email summarizing their GuildQuality activity from April and the survey activity that’s forecasted for the next several months.
Prior to this month, we sent out two different reports on the 15th of each month. This new email replaces those reports, and beginning in June, it will go out on the 1st of each month.
Here’s a sample version:
This update is great for a few reasons:
1) The new report jives with your billing. You can click on the “6 surveys were initiated in April” and see exactly which surveys you were billed for on the first of May.
2) The new report connects you directly to the important stuff in your account. We introduced auto-authentication some time ago (wherein if you checked the “keep me logged in on this computer” button when you logged in), so now when you click on any of the new links in the report, you can see all the details referenced therein.
3) The new report answers questions about more than just your surveying: How many people have visited your Qlist Profile or clicked on your Customer Report? How many of your users are checking out their accounts? What’s all the latest news from the GuildQuality blog?
4) And the added bonus of this update (by popular request): In the Projects & Surveying section, you can now search for surveys based on the date the surveying started.
Guildmembers most viewed in the Qlist, year to date
GuildQuality’s Qlist gets thousands of visitors every month. The people checking it out are interested in learning more about the kinds of companies that are part of our community of quality-minded home builders, remodelers, contractors, and real estate developers.
Year to date, the top 5 most-visited Guildmember Qlist Profiles are (in alphabetical order):
Betenbough Homes of Lubbock, TX
Carnemark systems+design of Bethesda, MD
Ivey Residential of Evans, GA
Twin Cities Siding Professionals of St. Paul, MN
Quadrant Homes of Bellevue, WA
If you’re wondering why they’re getting so much traffic, here’s some observations: Two of these members publish pictures of their work. Three of them are Guildmasters. Two include a link to their Customer Report. All of them are current with their surveying. All five have beautiful profile pages filled with content that’s interesting and relevant to their customers.

Is your messaging still relevant?
I thought there was a gem that bore sharing from David Alpert’s comments in Continuum Marketing Group‘s recent newsletter:
Constraint, value, frugality, and getting a good deal are the new badges of honor and status symbols. [click here to read the newsletter]
The article’s point: It is high time to revisit your website (and really all of your marketing materials) to ensure you’re no longer using language that might have been effective in 2006, but is a turn-off to prospects in 2009.
Among my favorite things about digital media: You can change it at any time without fear of tossing away boxes of un-used brochures. You can tailor your message to speak to the needs and desires of today’s customers, without fear of alienating tomorrow’s — but only if you keep your language fresh.
